Although many professionals may call themselves ‘financial planners’, only CFP® professionals have completed extensive training and experience requirements. The CFP® Board of Standards outlines some traits you can and should expect from your CFP®. We describe how we will work to apply each trait to build, protect, and strengthen your financial life.
- Competence: Educated and experienced to assist our clients. Ongoing education is a priority.
- Objectivity: As fiduciaries, the interests of our clients must come first, before our own and any possible conflicts of interest we may have. Ours are clearly outlined in our attached Advisory/ Consumer Brochure under the “Getting Started” tab.
- Integrity: Trust is essential. Our top clients recently surveyed listed this as one of the key reasons they use our services; a history of trust, honesty, and professionalism. We will work hard to continue this trait in every client-planner relationship.
- Clarity: It is important that our clients are treated fairly and with clarity on what to expect from their planning services. A ‘menu’ of what is being contracted outlines the services and costs for each, and an Engagement Agreement signed by both parties for services will aid clarity in the working relationship.
- Diligence: We always say our job is to “get you from where you are today, to where you want to be successfully, protected and sustained.” As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, my job is to assist our clients in bringing all the pieces of their financial lives together. Our rigorous ethical standards keep your interests at the forefront. Our “ADV” or state-filed Advisory Brochure, is available via the “Getting Started” link on this website, in addition to our Privacy Policy. Please take a look to see if we are a good fit for you.
